Privacy

The Climate Brief collects no personal data through this site.

The Climate Brief is published by PatternKind Ltd, a company registered in the United Kingdom with registration number 16360320. PatternKind Ltd is the data controller for any personal data collected through this site.

What we do not do

We do not run analytics that build reader profiles. We do not set tracking cookies. We do not operate a newsletter signup or any email-capture form. We do not require account creation. We do not sell or share reader data. We do not carry third-party advertising. We do not host a comments system.

Distribution is RSS, organic search, and social referral. The site is static and we serve identical content to every reader.

What our hosting provider sees

The site is served via a static host and a content delivery network. Those services receive your IP address and basic request metadata as part of normal web traffic. They keep their own logs under their own privacy terms. We do not retrieve those logs except in the event of a security incident, and we never combine them with other data to build a reader profile.

AI image generation disclosure

Editorial illustrations are AI-generated using FLUX.1-dev hosted on NVIDIA NIM. No reader data is used to generate or condition these images. See Methodology and Credits for the full image-generation disclosure.

Embedded content

Where embedded content loads from a third-party domain, that domain may set its own cookies according to its own policy. We will name every third-party embed in this section as it is added.

Your rights

If you are in the United Kingdom or the European Union, you have rights under the UK GDPR and the EU GDPR respectively. These include the right to access any personal data we hold about you, the right to correction, the right to erasure, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In the United Kingdom, the supervisory authority is the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Because we collect no personal data through this site, there is nothing for us to access, correct, or erase. If you have written to us by email, that correspondence is held in the editor's inbox under standard email provider terms. To request deletion of email correspondence, write to the editor.
